The film is set over a decade after the events of 'Avatar' and tells the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children): the crisis has not yet subsided, and the family strives to protect each other, fighting for survival through various trials and tribulations. Jake and Neytiri have formed a family, and their children are gradually growing up, bringing much joy to the household. However, the crisis remains unresolved, and the Sully family does everything they can to protect one another and survive, ultimately seeking refuge with the reef people of Pandora. The leader of the reef people, Tonowari, and Ronal provide shelter for the Sully family; members of this tribe are natural divers and have established a close relationship with various marine creatures.
