Legend has it that in the Jiannan Plain, there is a mysterious heroic doctor... wherever there is a need, he will always appear; as long as a patient wants to live, he will ensure they survive. Doctor Du Lesheng (played by Wang Shixian) left the hospital system that disappointed him after a catastrophic disaster 20 years ago and has since hidden in a small clinic, transforming into a medical delivery person, rescuing emergency patients while also healing his own inner wounds and guilt. Du Lesheng has a strong yet complicated rivalry with the deputy director of the local comprehensive hospital, Li Zhihao (played by Ke Shuyuan), and is frequently joined by the tough yet soft-hearted female doctor Xu Min'an (played by Chen Jiayuan) at critical moments.
