Adam Wingard will direct Universal Pictures' sci-fi action thriller titled [Hardcore]. Wingard co-wrote the script with newcomer Will Simmons. The film's story is adapted from the comic of the same name, co-created by Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri, and it tells the tale of Agent Drake, who is involved in a project called 'Hardcore Program,' which allows one person to take over another's body, turning them into a flesh machine with the capabilities of a perfect soldier. Drake is trapped in a body and has only 72 hours to identify the mastermind behind the hijacking of this project, forcing him to employ all available means to confront the enemy.
