Ransom Storm

Tom, the president of United Alliance Airlines (played by Mel Gibson), has worked hard for many years to achieve remarkable success, but recently he has become embroiled in a bribery scandal involving the union. Fortunately, his happy family provides him comfort in time. One day, Tom's family of three attends a children's science fair, and amidst the chaos of the crowd, his son Sean is kidnapped. The kidnappers quickly call and demand two million dollars from Tom, while kidnapping expert Lonnie, along with the FBI, begins to handle the case. The leader of the kidnappers is Jimmy, a New York police officer (played by Gary Sinise), whose highly skilled counter-surveillance techniques leave the police at a standstill, and John's cooperation with the police leads him to a passive position. Anxious and desperate, John decides to take a risk by publicly turning the ransom into a bounty for capturing the kidnappers. Jimmy retaliates, and the two sides engage in a psychological battle akin to walking a tightrope. Jimmy's gang begins to fragment under John's powerful psychological pressure, but Jimmy comes up with a new strategy. In the showdown between the two hard men, who will emerge victorious?
