The story takes place aboard a colonial spaceship named 'Covenant,' which is carrying two thousand colonizers who have entered cryosleep, on their way to the distant Omega-6 planet, hoping to establish a new home there. An unexpected event damages the ship's energy collection sails, and Captain Branson (played by James Franco) tragically dies. As the acting captain, Oram (played by Billy Crudup) leads the terrified and grieving crew to land on an unknown, mysterious planet. Here, they encounter the android David (played by Michael Fassbender), who warmly welcomes the humans and shares his experiences living here with the late Dr. Shaw (played by Noomi Rapace). Just as David gradually wins the crew's trust, they unwittingly step by step walk into the hell that he has meticulously prepared for them.
