Lin Sha (played by Estella Warren) is a typical new era woman, independent and strong, yearning for a free life. Lin Sha has been in a relationship with a man named Marx (played by David Eigenberg) for many years, but the fear and hesitation towards marriage has led to stagnation in their relationship, which causes Lin Sha great distress. Lin Sha decides to take a break from Marx. During this period, she actively participates in social events, meeting new people, and that’s when she meets A.J. (played by Justin Kirk). The two find that they resonate exceptionally well in both interests and ideas, developing feelings for each other as if they had been destined to meet earlier.
