In an unknown era and an unclear location, a down-and-out cartoonist named Yi Nan lives in a small town called Bei Town. He falls in love at first sight with a widow named Fu Zi, but the novelist Yi Shou gets to her first. With a knack for business, Yi Shou starts a shopping magazine in the prosperous Nan Town, and Yi Nan is responsible for attracting advertisers.
