Special Forces team member Cheng Zhen (Dawn) dreams every night of the same woman. During an investigation into a violent crime gang, he discovers that the person from his dreams exists in reality; she is Dr. Zhang's daughter, Nan Hong (Park Eun-hye), who is conducting research on past lives. In order to prove that the existence of past lives is scientifically credible, Dr. Zhang created a time machine and used Nan Hong as a test subject, planning to send her back to her past life. However, an accident occurred during the experiment, and Nan Hong fell into another world. In order to find Nan Hong, Cheng Zhen also underwent Dr. Zhang's experiment to return to his past life, only to discover that he and Nan Hong were a pair of lovers who loved each other in their previous life but faced tremendous hardships.
