The film is adapted from the series of novels of the same name by Chuck Dixon. The protagonist, Levon Cade (played by Jason Statham), is a legendary figure in the black ops world who has left his career to work in construction, seeking a simple life as a good father to his daughter. However, when the teenage daughter of his boss, Jenny, suddenly goes missing, Levon is called back to return to his old profession. During the pursuit, Levon becomes embroiled in the center of an evil criminal conspiracy, triggering a chain reaction that threatens his new way of life.
