 Synopsis
This drama is adapted from the novel by Runtaro Togashi, and it tells the story of Fuyuhiko and Torami, who once worked in the "General Consultation Room" at the Suginami Central Police Station, and are now part of the Special Investigation Unit, Section 5 of the Metropolitan Police Department, responsible solely for the trivial matters of elite groups, referred to as the "backward department." The police involved are from Generation Z, with the unreliable section chief Yamahana, and because Fuyuhiko and the others are called "Zero Section..." In this context, someone approaches Fuyuhiko to prove their innocence. The consultant, Kikuko, claims it relates to a murder case that occurred two years ago in Kanazawa. Soon after, her son, Kōmaru, attempts suicide. The victim, Reina, accuses him of being a stalker, and without a trial, he is labeled as the murderer. Fuyuhiko quickly browses Kōmaru's diary, is touched by it, and suddenly decides to "go to Kanazawa," starting an unauthorized investigation that was prohibited.
