During the Republic of China era, under the impact of the New Culture Movement, clothing culture entered a prosperous and diversified era, with all kinds of beautiful clothing competing with each other, blooming like a hundred flowers. At the same time, the Yunyi Workshop in Caiyun Town and the Qinfu Fabric Store were engaged in fierce competition. Meanwhile, Mi Jiu'er, a lively character who grew up in a crowded courtyard, became a 'flowing hero' who robs the rich to help the poor for survival. Two seemingly unrelated individuals, due to Jiu'er fleeing from the government’s manhunt, run into Lu Yiling, who looks just like her. In a twist of fate, Jiu'er masquerades as Lu Yiling to infiltrate the Yunyi Workshop, leading to many humorous misunderstandings. As for Luo Yinran, he moves from suspicion and testing to appreciation and attraction towards the drastically changed 'Lu Yiling.' Additionally, Pei Zhuo, the son of a Shanghai merchant who previously had a humorous encounter with Jiu'er in Caiyun Town, arrives at the Yunyi Workshop and Qinfu for research. While helping Jiu'er avoid Luo Yinran’s tests, he also brings significant challenges to the gradually warming 'Ran Jiu' romance.
