The film is set against the historical backdrop of the "Battle of Guangchang" in 1934, portraying the bloody struggles that occurred during the Second Domestic Revolutionary War at the northern gateway of the former Central Soviet Area—Guangchang. It recreates the support and love the people of the Soviet area had for the Party and the Red Army against the backdrop of the era, celebrating the bold spirit and revolutionary ethos of the revolutionaries who, for the sake of their beliefs, were undeterred by hardships, unafraid of sacrifices, and daring to achieve victory.
