Synopsis

The story tells of comic artist Gu Wenhao returning to his hometown ancient town, where he unexpectedly encounters the villainess Lu Ling from his comic. Lu Ling mistakes him for the male lead Xu Zhou from his comic and insists on 'marrying' him, even after losing her memory. During their interactions, Gu Wenhao discovers that Lu Ling's personality is completely different from her comic character; she is open-minded, bold, and has a chivalrous spirit, and she knows many plot points he is unaware of. As Gu Wenhao spends more time with Lu Ling, he begins to develop feelings for her. However, Lu Ling realizes that she is not a comic character but a real person from ancient times. When Gu Wenhao plans to confess his love to Lu Ling, she dies while saving him. When Gu Wenhao wakes up, he finds that he has actually traveled back to ancient times and become the person Lu Ling referred to, but in this ancient time, Lu Ling does not recognize him...
