One day, the beggar Xue Pinggui (played by Zhang Chenguang) unexpectedly encounters Wang Baochuan (played by Zhang Yuyuan), the beloved daughter of the current imperial censor Wang Wen, and they participate together in a dining competition, ultimately winning first place. Baochuan, who is naturally beautiful and known as the most beautiful woman in Chang'an, is pursued by Gao Buxuan, the son of the prime minister, and Liu Zhipeng, the son of a prince, who both want to marry her. While evading their entanglements, Baochuan accidentally falls into Xue Pinggui's cart.
