The film is adapted from the 2009 novel of the same name by Chetan Bhagat, telling the story of a Punjabi guy, Chris, and a Tamil Brahmin girl, Anaya, who fall in love and bravely step into the halls of marriage despite various challenges. When a shrewd man encounters a clever woman, is it a match made in heaven or a battle of wits? When a domineering mother-in-law meets a self-righteous mom, is it a clash of titans or a fight to the death? When love meets the future and marriage confronts gang affiliations, they must face separation, betrayal, exploitation, cultural differences, dysfunctional families, hysterical relatives, and a scheming environment... The inspiration for this work comes from the author's true experience: two young people from different social classes and cultural backgrounds in India, deeply in love and ready for marriage, yet facing disapproval from their parents. To transform their love into marriage, they need to engage in a grueling battle in front of their elders. Rebellion and struggle are easy, but achieving success is difficult. Can they do it? Did they overcome numerous obstacles, or did they have to give up halfway due to unavoidable circumstances? In recent years, Chetan Bhagat's works have continually been adapted into films, such as 'Hello', 'Three Idiots', 'The Last Wish', etc.
