A lonely wanderer arrives in a small town to set in motion his revenge plan, only to encounter a challenge greater than he originally intended. The film is set in a surreal dystopian society where guns are prohibited, and a swift sword is the way to go. Ron Perlman plays Nicola, the most powerful man in the East of the Pacific, who is enigmatic and a leader of a criminal organization. His iron-fisted rules require everyone to submit. Nicola's wife, Alexandra (played by Demi Moore), is a femme fatale with a mysterious past. Nicola is accompanied by nine assassins, dressed in red, hence called the 'Red Gang.' Nicolai's most trusted lieutenant is the number two assassin (Kevin McKidd), who is hard-hearted yet eloquent, wielding a deadly blade. The local citizens live in fear of Nicola's tyranny and his henchmen's might, longing for a hero who can overthrow the tyrant and save them from their plight.
