In 1977, the French director Just Jaeckin directed another landmark film in the history of pornography, following his previous work 'The Story of O'. It is based on the true story of Madame Claude, the most infamous high-class brothel owner in France during the 1960s and 70s. The film narrates the lives of the famous prostitutes under Madame Claude's management, who not only have to bear the burden of their fleshly careers but also face the threat of blackmail from photographers who have taken lewd photos of them in various poses.
