In the scorching summer, at a lakeside resort famous for its male "fishing" activities, dark currents surge beneath the calm blue waters. Handsome middle-aged man Frank (played by Pierre Deladonchamps) is caught between two men: the chubby and witty Henry (played by Patrick d'Assumçao) with whom he shares a deep rapport, establishing a friendship where they discuss everything; and the statue-like Michael (played by Christophe Paou), with whom he experiences overwhelming physical passion at first sight. However, after a series of intense encounters, Frank gradually discovers Michael's mysterious and dangerous side, and a murder case near the lake makes everything more enigmatic. Frank cannot resist Michael's allure, and Henry, who has already developed feelings for Frank, gets caught up in the whirlwind. Should he withdraw or indulge his desires and take the risk? This film won the Queer Palm at the 66th Cannes Film Festival and the Best Director award in the Un Certain Regard section, marking it as a year’s bold work exploring raw topics from within. Desire and suspense are tightly intertwined, with both melancholy and passion present. The tranquil lake becomes a battleground where soul and body clash until the very last moment.
