Adapted from the classic cyberpunk noir novel by Richard K. Morgan, it tells a thrilling story set in a future more than 300 years later, filled with murder, love, sex, and betrayal. By that time, society has been transformed by a new technology: consciousness can be digitized, body parts can be swapped, and death is no longer permanent. Takeshi Kovacs, a member of an elite interstellar warrior group, was defeated in a rebellion against the new world order, becoming the only surviving soldier. Kovacs' brain was preserved in ice for centuries, until the ultra-wealthy and long-lived Laurens Bancroft offered him a chance at resurrection. In exchange, Kovacs must investigate a murder and unravel the mystery of Bancroft's own death.
