A bizarre traffic accident happened at an intersection, and the Scientific Investigation Team (ST) soon uncovered the culprit behind the incident—genius hacker Tomoki Hiraki (played by Yusuke Nakayama). However, the leader of ST, Samon Akagi (played by Takaaki Fujiwara), was evasive when faced with accusations against Hiraki, diverting Yurika Tomohisa (played by Masaki Okada) and heading alone to Hiraki's residence. Shortly thereafter, Hiraki met his end in a fire, leading to Akagi being arrested as a key suspect by his colleagues. Aoyama Sho (played by Miku Shida), Yuuki Midori (played by Sei Ashina), Kurasaki Yuji (played by Masataka Kubota), and Yamabuki Saizo (played by Hiroki Miyake) naturally did not believe Akagi's confession; they sought to uncover the truth by any means necessary.
