Just as the men's basketball team in Middleview High School was preparing for another doomed game, several unusual dramas happened around the team.The grumpy referee Ken finds himself sent to care for the Pomeranian who is about to become an ex-wife; Brent Davidson, the annoying assistant coach of the Middleview Ducks, lobbied the team to build a complex offensive system; Joel, the backup point guard, tried to explain existentialism to his teammates; and a group of drama students planned a confrontational protest after their "post-colonial" drama King Lear was banned by the school administration.
