Towa Kitahara (played by Yu Aoi) lives together with a man named Akira (played by Takashi Abe). Although they live under the same roof, Towa and Akira are not in a romantic relationship. Towa despises Akira's coarseness and cowardice, yet despite being insulted and rejected by Towa, Akira remains deeply infatuated with her. Towa has a past relationship that she looks back on with regret; her ex-boyfriend, Shunichi Kurozaki (played by Yutaka Takenouchi), is a complete scumbag who not only exploited Towa's body but also severely injured her at the time of their breakup. One day, Towa accidentally meets a man named Makoto Mizushima (played by Tori Matsuzaka), and as they get to know each other, they develop an illicit romance. However, Makoto Mizushima is merely lusting after Towa's body. The police find Towa and question her about the whereabouts of the missing Kurozaki.
