Shi Tian plays the role of an elderly gatekeeper at a brothel. In the end, the monk honors his master, but Ming Zhi, who has just become the abbot, mistakenly believes that he must fight for his position, resulting in a violent confrontation. Eventually, Ming Zhi realizes the boundless nature of the Buddha's teachings and the principle of turning back to find salvation, leading him to self-immolation. Afterward, Shi Tian's career progressed smoothly, peaking in 1980 when he married the Taiwanese art film actress Liu Qin Yu, whom I really like. That same year, he co-founded the Fighting Film Company, which later became famously known as Hsin Yi City.
