"Hong Xuezhi's Campaign Against Bandits in Heihe" tells the story of Hong Xuezhi, the commander of the Heilongjiang Military Region, who, facing a critical situation before the liberation, bravely accepted an urgent mission to root out the bandits entrenched in the Heihe area of Heilongjiang. In May 1946, General Hong Xuezhi led the Special First Regiment of the New Fourth Army's 3rd Division to the Beian and Heihe areas. With his exceptional command ability and rich combat experience, he dealt a heavy blow to the troops of Liu Guangcai, the largest bandit leader in the Heihe region at the time, in the Songshugou area of Xunke County, eliminating most of the bandit forces. He then led his troops north along the Heilong River, breaking the siege of Huma and liberating Mohe, achieving the full liberation of China's northern border.
