In 1930s Hong Kong, there was turmoil in the social sector and gangsters were everywhere. Hong Kong tycoon Mr. Hu approached private detective Ai Yao (played by Lin Zi Xiang) one day, requesting an investigation into Mrs. Hu, as he found her behavior strange lately. After his investigation, Ai Yao discovered that the villainous Priest Gabon (played by Mai Jia) had been in cahoots with Mrs. Hu, intending to steal Mr. Hu's valuable stocks. When their plan was exposed by Ai Yao, they began a frantic pursuit to hunt him down. In a moment of desperation, Ai Yao uncovered that Mr. Hu was actually not a tycoon at all, but a swindler whose purpose for coming to Hong Kong was to defraud Gabon and other mobsters of their money. Mr. Hu invited Ai Yao to join forces and set a trap for Gabon. After discussing with his friend Inspector Robin (played by Teddy Robin), Ai Yao decided to turn the tables on them.
