The Chunye family lives in a quiet and peaceful small mountain village. Their lives are serene and happy, but each family member has their own worries. The grandfather (played by Yasushi Shibuya) has a quirky personality and eccentric behavior, obsessively devoted to making personal animations; the father (played by Tomohiro Miura) is a resident hypnotist, focused on his work and oblivious to everything else; the wife, Yoshiko (played by Satomi Tezuka), has finally escaped from the busy life of raising children and decides to pick up her drawing work of table cards again.
