USA Network announced the full season order for the show, which will take place in Chicago and focus on the powerful and stylish lawyer Pearson, played by Gina Torres. The last episode of Season 7 of 'Suits' also serves as a 'backdoor pilot' for the spin-off, written by the original creators and executive producers Aaron Korsh and Daniel Arkin.
