BBC Two has confirmed the booking of the comedy 'Upstart Crow' penned by Ben Elton, which primarily tells the life of William Shakespeare and will be aired as part of BBC's Shakespeare Memorial Festival in 2016. David Mitchell will play the young Shakespeare; also starring are Harry Enfield, Paula Wilcox, Liza Tarbuck, and Gemma Whelan. Part of the story's mainline will come from the sources of Shakespeare's inspiration, and Elton stated, 'I strive to tell the story from Shakespeare's perspective, even writing the script with a quill made from a chicken feather, without changing my underwear for a year.'
