Welcome to Rekall, a factory that can turn your dreams into reality. The protagonist Douglas Quaid (played by Colin Farrell) is an ordinary factory worker. Despite having a beautiful wife (played by Kate Beckinsale), and their relationship seems loving, he feels unsatisfied deep down. Mind trips sound like the perfect vacation, allowing him to escape from his frustrating life - the true memories of being a secret agent might be just what he needs. However, when a terrifying anomaly occurs during the process, Quaid becomes a hunted fugitive. He discovers that he is evading police controlled by officer Cohagen (played by Bryan Cranston), and there is no one Quaid can trust, except for a female rebel fighter (played by Jessica Biel) who works for the leader of the underground resistance (played by Bill Nighy). The line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred, and his fate becomes uncertain as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his real destiny. This film is adapted from Philip K. Dick's famous short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale."
