The experience of mutation at High University keeps replaying, with thoughts of the military's manhunt swirling in his mind. Scientist Bruce Banner (played by Edward Norton) is struggling in Brazil to control the anomalies caused by the gamma radiation within him while seeking solutions from Mr. Blue in New York. One day, while working in a soda production plant, he accidentally cuts his finger, and a drop of blood falls into a soda bottle, which unbeknownst to him leads to his whereabouts being exposed in the United States. The American military spares no effort to hunt him down, even bringing in the ambitious British General Emil Blonsky (played by Tim Roth). Forced into a corner, Bruce transforms into the Hulk, shocking Emil and other soldiers. To capture Bruce himself, Emil suggests injecting a sample that could cause his own genetic mutation. While hiding in the U.S., Bruce meets his ex-girlfriend Betty Ross (played by Liv Tyler), who unconditionally stands by his side, discovering that she possesses the power to stabilize the Hulk within him. Meanwhile, Emil, blinded by his ambition, escalates the conflict, and together with the American military's ruthless intent to exploit Bruce's powers for violent purposes, a massive battle becomes unavoidable.
