The film revolves around three boxers from different backgrounds. Akinobu Yoshinaga (played by Mirai Moriyama), after experiencing the peak of his professional career, has fallen into the role of a marginal loser, always treated as a 'soft target' to boost others' confidence. He becomes lost and even considers giving up boxing, but after hitting rock bottom, he has a sudden awakening and eventually returns to the ring, trying to find meaning in his existence. Ryuta Omura (played by Takumi Kitamura) is a young boxer carrying secrets; abandoned by his parents in childhood, he steps onto a path of rebellion and delinquency. His shattered life regains vitality through boxing, and he becomes unstoppable as he makes his debut. Shun Miyaguchi (played by Ryo Katagiri) is a 'star second generation' comedian. Under the scrutiny of his father's doubts, he becomes lost and can't find his grounding. Participating in a boxing competition due to a television show's special project, under the guise of a humorous persona, he attempts to prove himself through boxing and win victories. "Losers: Adversity" mainly focuses on the duel between Akinobu Yoshinaga and Shun Miyaguchi. The two, whose life paths originally had no intersection, find a connection due to a special project of a TV program. Both at a low point in their lives, they are determined to find a glimmer of hope and breakthrough from adversity in the boxing ring. Living behind the facade of a comedian, Shun Miyaguchi longs to find his place in the boxing arena, seeking the value of his own existence through punch after punch, even if he falls down in a disheveled state, he grits his teeth and gets back up to continue fighting, ultimately earning applause and recognition from everyone. Meanwhile, Akinobu Yoshinaga, already suffering from disdain from those around him, seems to sink into deeper despair and confusion; should he continue or give up? What is the meaning of boxing?
