Day of Destruction 10.5 (Mandarin version) Part 1

This show is the sequel and concluding chapter of NBC's impactful television mini-series "10.5" (A Terrifying Earthquake). In the previous episode, a devastating 10.5 magnitude earthquake triggered by intense tectonic activity obliterated the American West Coast, altered the core structure, and directly threatened North America and even the entire Western Hemisphere, resulting in a series of cascading disasters: Hawaii was engulfed by a tsunami, Hoover was destroyed, and Los Angeles sank... "10.5: Apocalypse" features visual effects of high standards among similar mini-series. To save more lives and salvage the nation, President Hollister (played by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Beau Bridges, the charming general from SG-1 Season 9) decides to take a gamble. He enlists the nation's top and most controversial seismologist Dr. Samantha Hill (played by Emmy winner Kim Delaney) and her boss and ex-boyfriend Dr. Jordan Fisher (played by David Cubitt) to assess the impact of the recent earthquake. Hill is at her wit's end trying to understand why the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions keep occurring, but she unexpectedly discovers an incredible hypothesis made by her father, who is also a seismologist (played by Frank Langella), many years ago. If this hypothesis is correct, a greater disaster is imminent, and the North American continent will be drastically altered: it will be split into two separate continents.
