Katie (played by Alexandra Lamy), who works at a chemical factory, is a single mother whose husband has left her, leaving her to take care of her 7-year-old daughter, Lisa (played by Mélusine Mayance). One day, the extremely depressed Katie meets Paco (played by Sergi López), a Spanish man who also works at the factory.
