 Synopsis
'Ultraman' (ウルトラマン) is a science fiction tokusatsu television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions, and it is the pioneering work of the Ultraman series (the 'monster concept' originated from 'Ultraman Q'). Directed by Tsuburaya Eiji, with screenwriters including Kinjo Tetsuo. Starring actors such as Kurobe Shin, Kobayashi Akio, Ishii Ishi, NibBottle Masaya, and Sakurai Hiroko. The show aired on TBS from July 17, 1966, to April 9, 1967, comprising 39 episodes. It primarily tells the story of the Ultraman warriors from the M78 Nebula working together with the Science Special Search Team to fight evil monsters and protect the Earth. During its broadcast, it received high praise, with peak viewership ratings reaching 42.8% (the highest for the Ultraman series). Its groundbreaking filming technique and excellent episodic plots garnered countless fans worldwide and sparked a strong Ultraman craze globally. In the 1990s, when 'Ultraman' was introduced to China, it created another wave of excitement, becoming a cherished childhood memory for many viewers. Many classic setups in the series also laid the groundwork for subsequent Ultraman series, and it still enjoys a high level of popularity today.
