Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and three other high school students arrive in a beautiful coastal city to celebrate their graduation with a wild vacation. However, joy turns to tragedy when they speed down a dark highway and accidentally hit and kill a pedestrian. In a panic, they decide to dispose of the body in the sea and agree to keep the incident a secret. A joyful journey ends in gloom. They thought everything would remain a secret. Julie begins her new college life, but a letter arrives, shattering her tranquility. It ominously states, 'I know what you did last summer,' and Julie is filled with terror. As expected, strange and horrifying events begin to happen to the group of young people, as they speculate about the identity of the killer and suspicion grows among them, yet a bloody conclusion has long been waiting for them...
