In Sweetwater Prison in the California desert, amid a crowd of crazy inmates, prison boxing champion Monroe 'Mad Dog' Hawkins (played by Wesley Snipes) once again defeats his opponent. Hawkins, once a boxer sentenced to life in prison for murder, has dominated the prison boxing league for ten consecutive years with his exceptional boxing skills.
