This series is the second season of 'American Horror Story.' The story is set in the Briarcliff Sanitarium in New England during the 1960s. It begins with a modern-day newlywed couple, Leo (played by Adam Levine) and Teresa (played by Jenna Dewan), who explore the old site of the sanitarium to take photos. At that time, the people who lived there were only of three types: doctors and nurses, priests and nuns, and criminally insane patients. The sanitarium is jointly managed by Sister Jude (played by Jessica Lange) and senior clergy Timothy O'Hara (played by Joseph Fiennes). The psychiatrist Dr. Thredson (played by Zachary Quinto) has progressive ideas but often clashes with Sister Jude's management style. Dr. Arden (played by James Cromwell) appears gentle but is far from being a good person. These individuals are not what they seem, and the haunted sanitarium hides terrifying and mysterious things...
