The Netflix comedy "Unstable" co-created and starred by Rob Lowe and his son John Owen Lowe has unveiled its cast and more story details: The father-son duo will collaborate with the creator of "This Is Us," Victor Fersco, to tell the story set in a cutting-edge biotechnology research company; John Owen plays the role of "Jackson," who works for his father "Ellis" (played by Rob), who is career successful but eccentric, in order to prevent him from falling into disaster. John Owen is Rob's younger son, born in 1995; earlier, he was involved in writing for Rob's FOX comedy "Brothers in Law." Additionally, he served as a story editor for "9-1-1: Lone Star" and frequently interacts with his father on social media, often pranking each other. Sian Clifford from "London Life" plays "Anna," the CFO of the company, who has been serving Ellis since his startup; she is strong, smart, has her own opinions, and is absolutely loyal to her boss, making her one of the few who can confront Ellis directly. Rachel Marsh plays "Luna," a genius biotechnology engineer; she works with her friend and partner "Ruby," played by Emma Ferreira; Luna is introverted while Ruby is extroverted, and they have distinctly different personalities. Aaron Branch plays Jackson's old friend "Malcolm," a project manager advocating for reform within the company; Malcolm works here with a sense of unease, as he is an outsider among a group of scientists. Fred Armisen from "Saturday Night Live" plays the therapist "Leslie" assigned by the company, eager to be liked; Tom Allen and JT Parr portray brothers "TJ" and "Chaz," rivals of Ellis, who have a seat on the board due to their father's funding. These three characters are guest roles.
