Synopsis

Jenny (played by Meryl Streep), the owner of a bakery in Santa Barbara, California, sees her 20-year marriage with ex-husband Jake (played by Alec Baldwin) crumble due to his infidelity. Ten years later, their three children are all grown up, and Jenny's life seems to finally be on track. During a house renovation, she meets architect Adam (played by Steve Martin), and they develop feelings for each other. However, at their youngest son Luke's (played by Hunter Parrish) graduation ceremony, Jenny suddenly discovers that Jake has rekindled his old feelings for her. Overwhelmed, Jenny can't resist the temptation and starts an affair with the married Jake. Faced with this complicated and tumultuous love quadrangle, how will Jenny ultimately choose? The film received three nominations at the 67th Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actress (Meryl Streep), and Best Screenplay.
