The death of Oliver's father (played by Christopher Plummer) deeply affected him. He encountered a bottleneck at work, felt exhausted with interpersonal communication, and struggled to let go of his inhibitions even when trying to connect with an attractive woman. During the days without his father, he often recalled the day when changes began to occur. On a certain day after his mother's death, his father called Oliver over and told him two things: first, that he had cancer; and second, that he was coming out as gay. Oliver was initially shocked and found it difficult to cope. However, throughout his father's treatment, seeing him interact harmoniously with his partner and witnessing his father regain vitality and energy gradually healed Oliver's heart. Although his father has passed, his influence remains, particularly in how it affected and changed Oliver's attitude towards life. This guidance encourages him to be brave in the present, recognizing that everyone is merely a beginner in their interactions with one another.
