This movie tells the true story of Indian diplomat J.P. Singh. His world is turned upside down when Uzma Ahmad, a woman seeking asylum, arrives at the embassy. Uzma claims to be an Indian citizen who was abducted to Buner and forced to marry a Pakistani man named Tahir, who is Pashtun. She also has a daughter suffering from thalassemia from a previous failed marriage. She initially believed that Tahir truly loved her, which led her to go to Pakistan to see him, only to be taken to a remote village and abused. As tensions escalate, Singh must navigate the complex international diplomacy, Pakistan's legal system, and pressure from both the Indian and Pakistani governments to resolve the matter and help Uzma safely cross the Wagah border.
