Yu Xiaobao (played by Anthony Wong) possesses excellent martial arts skills, but as he gets older, he finds it increasingly difficult to keep up. He runs an old-fashioned ironclad clinic. His wife passed away early, leaving him to take on the role of both father and mother to his son Nicky (played by Wilfred Lau) and daughter Natalie (played by Gillian Chung). However, their home is often lacking in harmony, as the brother and sister frequently argue, and the children are tired of their father constantly recounting tales of his past bravery. Nicky has always liked his sister's good friend Ella (played by Charlene Choi), while Natalie's boyfriend, Jason (played by Daniel Wu), is a musician.
