The story begins in 1985, when Yokohama Central Police Criminal Investigation Division detective Kōsuke Kyōgoku (played by Masami Nagasawa) falls into a coma due to an explosion during a mission. His sleep lasts for thirty years. One day in 2015, Kōsuke unexpectedly wakes up, and upon opening his eyes, he finds that the world has undergone tremendous changes. The progress of the times makes him feel like an ancient person who has traveled through time. His wife, Kanako (played by Eimi Wakui), who once stood by him, has formed a new family without his knowledge. After causing some chaos, he is arrested by the young and capable detective Ryōta Mochizuki (played by Masakatsu Kōda). Following this, Kōsuke reconnects with his former junior colleagues and superiors, and with their help, returns to the police force. Interestingly, he is assigned as Ryōta's partner. What kind of story will unfold between this hot-blooded, reckless old man and the intellectually and technologically savvy young man of the new era?
