"Narcos" will come to a conclusion after three seasons depicting the war on drugs in Colombia. Netflix has separated the original fourth season into a spinoff series titled "Narcos: Mexico." This new series will focus on the origins of the war on drugs in Mexico, particularly the Guadalajara drug cartel, set in the 1980s. It tells the story of Felix Gallardo (played by Diego Luna), who is calm, bold, clear-headed, and loyal to his family and friends, as he unites the scattered drug traffickers to become the drug lord known as the "Godfather." Meanwhile, DEA agent Kiki Camarena (played by Michael Pena) moves with his family from California to Guadalajara, but he is not prepared for the danger of this war on drugs, which leads to tragedy. In the first season of "Narcos," it was mentioned that Kiki was captured by the drug cartel and suffered horrific torture before his death, including having the skin flayed from his legs, being shot in the hands and feet, and being drilled with a power drill. However, his death also prompted the DEA to intensify their pursuit of drug lords.
