Just after arriving at Kobe Port by ferry, Xiao Die (played by Reiko Ike) is mistaken for a drug trafficker by a female pickpocket, Hōmi (played by Makoto Aikawa), and is taken to a drug den where she is brutally interrogated by gangsters. In a critical moment, a thug named Ryo (played by Yoshihira Uchida) who just got out of prison rescues Xiao Die. She immediately captures Hōmi and learns the reason for her mistaken interrogation. It turns out that the remnants of the dockside gang, led by Asakichi (played by Akiyama Taka), were smuggling drugs from Yokohama using the female pickpocket, and by a twist of fate, they encountered Xiao Die. Ryo's gang leader was killed while he was in prison, and the leader's only daughter, Kiyoko (played by Midori Hoshino), is missing.
