Jiang Lishen (played by Tang Wenlong) is born with the ability to see ghosts and follows the underworld big shot, Zhixiong, as his job. He is kind-hearted and always willing to help others. One day, he unexpectedly encounters the wandering soul of Zhong Taixun, who is looking for a substitute. Unable to bear seeing it trapped in the realm of no return, he saves Yingying. However, this good deed disrupts the laws of yin and yang and angers the malevolent spirit Zhong Tai, who should have been at rest. To ensure that his beloved son Zhongzai can reincarnate soon, Zhong Tai begins to relentlessly haunt Lishen, even attaching Zhongzai to him, placing him in a life-and-death crisis.Lishen's friend Bi Ji finds Bi Ren to help him exorcise the ghost, but Bi Ren's abilities are limited and fail to resolve the issue, instead angering Zhong Tai and worsening the situation. Bi Ji has no choice but to call in Long Di to solve this problem. Through Long Di's investigation, it is discovered that Lishen's good intentions have led to a series of disasters, and Yingying's family has also suffered misfortune. It turns out that Zhong Tai died from drowning while pregnant, and his beloved son Zhongzai has yet to reincarnate. The attempts to find a substitute have been repeatedly thwarted by Lishen, resulting in Zhong Tai's deep resentment. As a negotiation expert, Long Di successfully persuades Zhong Tai to accept the facts and summons the Five Wheel Dharma King to inquire about the reasons why Zhongzai has not reincarnated, in hopes of resolving this dispute.
