Ghost Stories and Strange Tales: Xiangyun Temple

In the story, Ma Tianyi (played by Peng Yusi), as the descendant of the mysterious exorcist family from Northeast China, the Ma family, is rebellious by nature and lives a free-spirited life. As a result, he is exiled by the family head to the Xiangyun Temple, which was established on the outskirts of a remote town. Furthermore, seven evil entities that the Ma family across generations have been unable to subdue are suppressed beneath the temple. Ma Tianyi’s father hoped to cultivate him by sending him to the Xiangyun Temple, but Ma Tianyi remains indifferent to his growth and idles away time with the abbot Li Dayou. The story truly begins when a woman investigating paranormal events arrives at the Xiangyun Temple, triggering a series of supernatural occurrences.
