Vic is an unfortunate young Russian-American who lives in Milwaukee with his grandmother. He works as a driver for a transport service for the disabled. One day, a protest erupts on the street, and a reluctant Vic agrees to take his grandfather and a group of elderly Russian men to a funeral, but they are unwilling to let Vic pass through the African American community to pick up Tracy, a Black girl with muscular dystrophy. Facing the crisis of losing his job, the complicated situation makes Vic's day even worse.
