Located in the northeast, Jianshan City once became a nationally famous rock city because of the band Broken Guitar, inspiring countless young people and children’s passion for music. However, twenty years have passed, and rock music has gradually declined, even facing the fate of demolishing the city’s famous landmark, the big guitar. To protect the rock spirit here, the small auto repair shop owner Hu Liang (played by Qiao Shan) invites the former agent of Broken Guitar, Cheng Gong (played by Dong Chengpeng), from Beijing, hoping he can help him form a band and plan a performance to defend the big guitar. Under Hu Liang's persistent persuasion, Cheng Gong and the others pieced together a band, featuring the beautiful bassist Ding Jianguo (played by Guli Nazha), the drummer named Zhaoyao (played by Li Hongqi) who plays with his back to the audience, the aging doctor guitarist Old Yang (played by Han Tongsheng), and the underage student keyboardist Xixi (played by Qu Junxi). They overcome their respective difficulties and work hand in hand towards their musical dreams, always keeping the initial passion in their hearts...
