Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is exceptionally logical even when putting someone to death; however, his orderly handling of cases contrasts sharply with his private life, where he is simply a 'freak,' at least in the eyes of his assistant Dr. Watson (played by Jude Law). The 'dark wizard' Lord Blackwood (played by Mark Strong), whom they brought to justice, claimed before his death that death is the beginning. Soon after, Irene Adler (played by Rachel McAdams) appears, asking him to help find a missing person while accompanied by a terrifying shadowy figure. Rumors suggest that the dark wizard has been resurrected, that his grave has been disturbed, and that the person lying in the coffin is someone else. It is time for the great detective Sherlock Holmes to take action. However, the investigation is fraught with danger from the outset, with Dr. Watson narrowly escaping death and Holmes becoming entangled in a series of perplexing mysteries. This film is based on the famous comic of the same name by Lionel Wigram. It was nominated for two Academy Awards at the 82nd in the categories of Best Art Direction and Best Original Score, and Robert Downey Jr. was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy at the 67th Golden Globe Awards.
